What is cms?

Put simply, Content Management is the facility which allows a client to update the content of a web page with little or no technical experience.

how does it work?

Content Management comes in two distinct forms depending on whether the website is static or dynamic (database driven).

In the latter case, content such as product description, price, images etc. can be managed via simple form filling.

Static sites on the other hand are handled quite differently and for these we provide an Instant Webpage Editor. To edit your web page you simply visit the page through your browser. You then type in a key combination followed by a password and user ID, click on the section of the page to be edited and you will be presented with a screen like that shown on the right.

This is very similar to the user interface for Microsoft Word and anyone familiar with word processing should find this very easy to use but don't worry if you've not used Word before, a half day training course is included in our price.
